All through high school Gary sat in front of me in home room; we were always in the the back! We became close and shared so many stories...we laughed through graduation watching everyone else get their diplomas before us! He was such a happy, sweet natured guy...I've often wondered about him through the years. I am so sorry to hear of his passing.
My memories of Gary, come mostly from grade school. I remember going to his house, when we couldn't have been any more than 4th graders, perhaps younger. He was totlally into jazz, and untroduced me to Thelonius Monk, as a 10 year old. It makes me smile thinking about that afternoon. Gary, the cool cat.
Gary and I hung out together for years during high school. He was a great guy with a sense of humor that always made him fun to be around. We lost track of each other back in the late seventies. He will always be remembered by myself and I'm sure by everyone who knew him. I shall grieve his loss. My condolences go out to his survivors. LS
